Eldon Lawrence BROW

BROW, ELDON LAWRENCE Eldon Lawrence Brow of Millville, cherished husband of 27 years to Dianne (Ryan) Brow, passed away December 9, 2007 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 5, 1957, in Antigonish, NS, he was the son of Leona (Pettipas) Brow and the late Adrian Lawrence Brow of Cape Jack, NS. Besides his wife and mother, Eldon is survived by two sons, Ryan (Crystal) and Josh of Red Deer, AB and one granddaughter, Celina; four sisters, Sharon Brow (Kelly) of West Lawrencetown, NS, Norma Brow (Jean) of Robert's Creek (Gibson), BC, Leisa Brow (Ronnie) of Havre Boucher, NS and Lorna Mann (Mike) of Penticton, BC; his grandmother, Irene Pettipas of Linwood, NS, several nieces and nephews Morgan, Tristan and Dylan Brow and Bethany and Hannah Mann as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, Eldon was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Catherine Brow, his maternal grandfather, Peter Pettipas and his parents-in-law, Stephen and Sarah Ryan. Eldon graduated from the College of Cape Breton as a Chemical Technician and was employed at AV Nackawic. He was an active member of the Local Union and Joint Health and Safety Committee. Eldon was a faithful blood donor, donating more than 80 times. He enjoyed motorcycling, all forms of outdoor activity, hunting, kayaking, processing wood and trips to the camp. Eldon served as a Cub and Scout leader in Nackawic for eight years and was a Lay minister at St. Simon and St. Jude Parish in Nackawic. Visitation will take place at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, Nackawic on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Father Brian Wetmore officiating. Interment will take place later in Nova Scotia. Pallbearers will be Kevin Myshrall, Donald Goodine, Lorne Goodine, Jimmy Fortune, Garth Morehouse and Dean Crossen. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Havre Boucher, NS.
