Delores Linda Isfeld (née Favell) August 25, 1959 - December 8, 2007 After a lengthy battle with cancer, Delores Isfeld, aged 48 years, of Gimli, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, December 8, 2007. Beloved partner of Tom Stepanow; mother of Victor and Johann (Susan); and grandmother to Kenneth, Serenity and Amelia. She also leaves to mourn her cherished siblings, Brian, Winston, Wanda (Murray), Greg, Norman, Patty, Ray (Mel) and her mother Hazel. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as TomÕs family. She was predeceased by her first husband Victor Clarence in 1986 and her father Thomas Alfred in 1997. Born in Norway House on August 25, 1959, her family settles in the Interlake in the 1960Õs and Delores became an active member of the Gimli Community. For more than 20 years she was a Disability Services Worker with the special needs adult group homes, Heima Er Best, in Gimli where she made her most endearing friendships. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she relished the stolen time she had with them. Her nieces and nephews and their children held a special place in her heart. She will always be knows for her strong will, spirit and determination. Everyone who knew her will be saddened by the loss her passing brings, but should celebrate her joy for life and take heart that she is at peace and looked forward to joining the people she had lost to the here after. A special thank you goes out to the entire staff at Gimli Community Health Centre, who committed themselves to DeloresÕ care with the utmost respect and support over the last four years. Funeral services will take place at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli, 50-1st Avenue on Thursday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. A second service will also be held on Thursday in Fisher River at the United Church at 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow and burial of ashes will take place in spring.
