M. Vivian (Viv) White, 88 of Moncton passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, December 11th, 2007. Born in Winnipeg, she was the daughter of the late Evert L. and C. Cosette (Monroe) White. Viv was a graduate of the University of Manitoba, University of Minnesota and University of Leeds (England). She was a professor, having taught at Cornell University, New York, 1947 to 1986. Following her retirement, she moved to Moncton. Viv was an avid photographer, gardener and naturalist and was active in many local organizations. She enjoyed spending time over a glass of wine with family and friends at her cottage in Pointe du Chene. She will be sadly missed. Viv leaves behind her niece, Frances White, Winnipeg, MB; nephews, John White, Moncton, Greg White, Halifax and Andrew White, Quispamsis. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Dr. O.J. "Jack" White (2005). No visitation by personal request. Funeral service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Saturday, December 15th, 2007, 11 am, Rev. Harold MacDonald officiating.
