Philip Lloyd 1923-2007 Au Manoir Tobique Valley de Plaster Rock, le 3 décembre 2007, à l'âge de 84 ans, est décédé Philip Lloyd, époux de Frances Howlett, domicilié à Plaster Rock. Né à Plaster Rock en 1923, il était le dernier survivant des enfants de feu Robert Lloyd et de feu Sarah Salt. M. Lloyd était vétéran de la deuxième guerre mondiale. Avant sa retraite, il a travaillé pour la compagnie Fraser pendant 45 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, ainsi que les enfants de celle-ci, Evelyn (Jack) Connors de Jérusalem et Robert (Diane) Fraser de Saint John, petits-enfants, Samantha, Greg, Sean et Ethan et arrière-petite-fille, Esther, belle-soeur, Doris Lloyd (feu Ralph) de Plaster Rock, ainsi que des neveux et nièces. Il a été précédé par ses frères, Leslie, Sydney et Ralph et ses soeurs, Thora et Jessie. Ses funérailles ont eu lieu le jeudi 6 décembre à 14h en l'église anglicane St. George's de Plaster Rock et l'inhumation au cimetière communautaire de Plaster Rock. La célébrante était Rev. Ellen Curtis. Les porteurs étaient MM. Arnold Bedford, Keith Estey, Robert Fraser, Phillip Giberson, Troy Howlett et Alban Watson. La direction des funérailles a été confiée à la Maison Funéraire Guy L. O'Regan Ltée. www.oregans.ca Philip Lloyd 1923-2007 At the Tobique Valley Manor, Plaster Rock, December 3, 2007, Mr. Philip Lloyd of Plaster Rock passed away at the age of 84 years. He was the husband of Frances (Howlett) Lloyd. Born at Plaster Rock in 1923, he was the last surviving child of the late Robert and Sarah (Salt) Lloyd. Mr. Lloyd was a veteran of World War II. Prior to his retirement, he worked 45 years for Fraser’s, the latter years as supervisor. He is survived by his wife, step children, Evelyn (Jack) Connors of Jerusalem and Robert (Diane) Fraser of Saint John, step grandchildren, Samantha, Greg, Sean and Ethan and step great granddaughter, Esther, sister-in-law, Doris Lloyd (late Ralph) of Plaster Rock, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Leslie, Sydney and Ralph and sisters, Thora and Jessie. Resting at St. George’s Anglican Church, Plaster Rock with visiting hours Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. His funeral service will be held Thursday, December 6th at 2 p.m. from the church, with Rev. Ellen Curtis officiating. Interment will be in the Plaster Rock Community Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to St. George’s Memorial Fund or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
