Wayne Condy, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and daughter on Saturday, December 15, 2007. He was 67. Born in Walkerton, son of the late Horace and Rita (nee McCurdy) Condy. Wayne spent many hours feeding wild turkeys and deer in his backyard, along with walking his dog daily and he enjoyed puttering in the garden. He also was an avid fisherman and could always be found talking with the neighbours. Survived by his loving wife Carol (nee Monk) Condy, cherished daughter Gail (Glen) Bumstead and the apple of grandpa's eye, Meggy, all of Hanover; daughter Shelley Ramage of Keswick; grandchildren Cassandra, Logan and Jillian. Also survived by brother Gary McCurdy of Alberta, mother-in-law Marina Zettler of Hanover and sister-in-law Diane (Ivan) Logie of Elmwood. Very sadly missed by his family of fur faces. Predeceased by his brother Bradley Condy, sisters Sharon Ernewein and Nora Gross and father-in-law Elmer Monk. Visitation was held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass was held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. Father Mervin Perera officiated. Memorial donations to the O.S.P.C.A. or Hanover Hospital Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
