SEARS, Raymond E. Formerly of Sackville, New Brunswick President of A.B.C. Roofing for 35 years May 26, 1938 - December 20, 2007 At St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on Thursday, December 20, 2007. Beloved husband of 50 years to Erma Bailey. Loving and proud father of Wayne (Bonnie), Ron (Sandra), Norm, Raymond (Amie), Mat and Tracy (Jason). Special ‘Grampy' to several grandchildren. Dear brother of Vivian Goodall of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia and Pauline Cormier of Port Colborne, Ontario. Ray was a special Uncle to many nieces and nephews and will also be sadly missed by many friends and extended family. Ray will also be sadly missed by his special companion Brandi, his devoted cat. Predeceased by his parents John Sears and Louise Walker, formerly of Sackville, New Brunswick, his brothers Norval, formerly of Kingston and Victor, formerly of Verdun, Quebec and by his sisters Mabel and Florence, both formerly of Kingston and Janie, formerly of Sackville, New Brunswick. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Monday, December 24, 2007 for service in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 a.m., Major Daisy Hatt of The Salvation Army officiating. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Palliative Care at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital) would be appreciated by the family.
