Joan Marie (Steeves) Parker 1929 - 2007 Joan Marie (Steeves) Parker, 78, of Salisbury passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital. She was born in Surrey, Albert County on December 14, 1929 the daughter of the late Stewart and Myrtle (Taylor) Steeves. Joan had worked at T. Eaton Company and also at Zellers. She was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Church, a past member of the Mary Crisp Chapter -IODE, member of the Wesley United Church Women's Missionary Society, also a member of the Jennie Miller Temple # 20 where she held several offices including Past District Deputy. She also enjoyed her knitting, reading and her family. Joan above all things was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished times spent with her family. She was a beautiful lady who will live on in the hearts of her family forever. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Charlotte MacLeod (Daryll) of Salisbury; her three sons, David (Carol) Parker of PEI, Stewart Parker of Weldon and Stanley Parker of Salisbury; her precious grandchildren, Faith MacLeod of Salisbury, Douglas Parker of Halifax and Bradley Parker of Weldon; sister Audrey Bulman (Allison) of Weldon. She will also be sadly missed by her many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Sydney Ivan Parker (1989). Honoring Joan's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Graveside Committal Service will be held in the spring. Interment will be in the Curryville United Cemetery, Curryville where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband. For those who wish, donations to the Diabetes Association or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
