FORTIER, Lucien - 1928-2007 - Passed away during the early morning hours of Sunday December 9, 2007 at the Timmins and District Hospital, at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband of 54 years of Mathilda (nee Rondeau). Loving father of the late François (Denise) of Winnipeg, Rose Danis (Thomas) of Timmins, Henriette Rondeau (Roger) of Iroquois Falls, Louise Hébert (Gilbert) of Holtyre, Léon (Pierrette) of Timmins and Mireille (Iain Martin) of Timmins. Dear grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Lucien is survived by his sisters Yvette Couley (late George) of Timmins, Lucienne Rondeau (late Mandoza) of North Bay, by his brother Rhéal Fortier (Marie) of Tunis, by his sisters-in-law Fleurette Fortier of Timmins, Jeannine Lavoie of Iroquois Falls, Simone Daviault of Timmins and by his brothers-in-law Lucien Girard of Iroquois Falls and Guy Charbonneau of Iroquois Falls. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Henri and Alice, his brother Roland, his sisters Claire, Aurore, Lodia, Roseanna and by his brothers-in-law Maurice Lavoie, Valeri Rondeau, Vital Rondeau, René Rondeau (Rosange) and by his sister-in-law Josephine Gauthier (Antonio). The family would like to thank everyone who have helped them in these most difficult times. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 12, 2007 at 12 pm at St. Joseph Parish. Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
