Brian G MacLeod July 09, 1963 - March 20, 2004 MacLEOD, Brian G. - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian G. MacLeod, 40, Lower Sackville, after a courageous battle with cancer. Brian passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004, in the QEII Hospital, Halifax. Born in Glace Bay, NS, he was the son of Coleen Locke-MacLeod and the late Norris MacLeod. Brian moved to Halifax approximately 16 years ago and has resided in Lower Sackville for the last seven years. Brian was a people person first, taking time to always keep in touch with his family and multitude of friends. He will be missed by many. Surviving are his wife, Denise (nee MacPhee); son, Gregory; and step-children Elena and Evan of Lower Sackville; only brother Allister (Anne Marie); and nephews Craig and Colin MacLeod, all of New Waterford. Also surviving is Brian’s maternal grandmother, Annice Locke of Seaview Manor, Glace Bay. Brian was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Thomas W. Locke; and his paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Margaret MacLeod. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2004, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, in St. John’s United Church, Fall River. Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Family flowers only.
