Heather Anne Smoljanovich Oct. 08, 1947 - March 21, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Sands Funeral Chapel (Colwood) Smoljanovich Heather Anne – Born October 8, 1947. Heather’s 18 year struggle with cancer came to a peaceful end on March 21, 2004 at home surrounded by close family. She will always be loved by her devoted husband, Smiley; her children, Tami (Gerry), Tim and Paul; her grandchildren, Danica, Michael and Christopher; sisters and brothers, Bonnie, Deby, Dallas, Gary and Dawn; Father Mac and all of her dear friends. There are so many people who Heather touched in her lifetime and she will be sadly missed by all of them. Heather’s acceptance of Life’s challenges inspired all who knew her. Again & again she taught us all that family and friends are a person’s wealth. This body is not me, I am not caught in this body I am life without boundaries I have never been born and I have never died. Over there the wide ocean and the sky with many galaxies All manifests from the basis of consciousness Since beginningless time I have always been free Birth and death are only a door through which we go in and out. Birth and death are only a game of hide-and-seek So smile to me and take my hand and wave good-bye Tomorrow we shall meet again or even before We shall always be meeting again at the true source Always meeting again on the myriad paths of life. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Sooke Hospice and Dr. Wrathell for their endless caring and compassion. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, May 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Heather’s home in Sooke. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so wish donations may be made in Heather’s memory to the Sooke Hospice at Box 1052, Sooke, B.C. V0S 1N0
