Edna Mary Terpstra (Robinson) On October 11, 2007 Edna Mary Terpstra died at the Temiskaming Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Connock, England on January 29, 1923 to Ernest and Annie Robinson. Educated in England, she moved to Canada in 1948 and worked as a lab technician at Warner Lambert Research in Oakville. Mrs. Terpstra, a member of the Anglican Church of Canada, moved from Oakville to Earlton in 1989 and lived for seven years at Northdale Manor where she served as chairperson of the resident’s council. Mrs. Terpstra was predeceased by her first husband, William Mayhew (1970), and by her second husband, Albert Terpstra (1993), whom she married in Oakville in 1973. She is survived by her sons Maurice (wife Brenda) Mayhew, Graham (wife Lucy) and Lawrence (wife Laurie) Mayhew; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The funeral was arranged by Perrin Funeral Chapel with the service conducted by Reverend Aaron Orear at St. Jude’s Church in Oakville. Pallbearers were Thomas Mayhew, Clifford Mayhew, Grant Mayhew, Scott Didine, Luke Mayhew and James Hepworth. Burial is at St. Jude’s Cemetery in Oakville. Relatives and friends attending the service came from Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Toronto, Temiskaming Shores and Thornloe.
