SILVESTRI, George E. - In loving memory of George E. Silvestri, on Tuesday morning October 30th, 2007 at Extendicare York St. Sudbury. Beloved husband of Cecile (nee Lamothe) Silvestri of Copper Cliff. Loving father of Carrie (husband Jean Audette) of North Bay. Predeceased by his parents Dominic and Maria (nee Bevilacque) Silvestri and by his brother Victor Silvestri and his wife Evelyn (nee Darrach). Special uncle to Mary (husband Carl) of Toronto. George was born and raised in Copper Cliff, Ontario. He married Cecile (Lamothe) in Espanola in 1971. He worked as a material coordinator for INCO Ltd. for over 30 years retiring in 1987. George was a member of the Council of Canadians, INCO Quarter Century Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his younger years he was a member of the Sudbury Skeet Shooting Club and he enjoyed playing his banjo in local musical bands. George will be sadly missed and never forgotten. A special thank you to his lifelong friend the late Duilio Gattoni for his daily visits and support, also to Extendicare Nurses and staff for the wonderful care given to George during his illness. Funeral Prayers at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Thursday, November 1st, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. Interment at Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations in memory of George to the Council of Canadians would be appreciated
