Josephus “Jack” William John Warren On November 6, 2007 Jack Warren of RR#1 Charlton died at the Englehart and District Hospital. He was born in Charlton to Josephus and Florence Warren and attended Savard Public School. Mr. Warren worked and farmed on the farm in Savard Township. As well as bush work, he also took out logs and sawed them in his own mill. Mr. Warren was a very hard worker wherever he was in the fields — herding up the cattle, bringing in wood — and he did love what he did until later in his life. He also had horses until last year. He was a devoted husband and loving and caring father of his four children, always happy when they were back home again and safe. Mr. Warren is survived by Reta, his loving wife of 50 years; children Arnold, Doreen, Melvin (Janice) and Gloria (David Edwards); six grandchildren and one great-grandson; sisters Evelyn (Gordon Allen), Edna, Erma (friend Arnold); brother William (Faye); aunt Mae Neal; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Joe, mother Florence; siblings Muriel, Lenard and Bernard; brothers-in-law Bert Vasdingh and Wilmer Nuhn; first wife Barbara Warren; one niece and two nephews. The funeral was arranged by McDonald Funeral Home in Englehart where the service was conducted November 10 by Reverend Jessica Cottrell. Pallbearers were Hector Halloran, Leonard Nuhn, Arlaan Warren, George Bott, Joel Rodgers and Arnold Brownlee. Burial is at the Charlton Cemetery. Relatives and friends attending the service from out of town came from Manitouwadge, Wawa, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Edson, Alberta, Toronto, North Bay, Erin, Hanmer, Marathon, Palgrave, Windsor, Temagami, Sudbury, Earlton, Kirkland Lake, Virginiatown, New Liskeard, Matachewan, Englehart and Charlton. In memory contributions tot he Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
