Cécile Gaboury nee: Vermette, of Thunder Bay The funeral service for Hearst resident Cécile Alice (née Vermette) Gaboury, 73, of Eighth St was held Nov. 24, 2007. She died Nov. 18 at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Thunder Bay. Born June 9, 1934 in Hearst, she operated her Belvedere Beauty Salon from 1960 until several years ago. Family described her as a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Predeceased by her parents Eliza and Gédéon Vermette in Hearst, she leaves her daughter Monique MacEachern of Thunder Bay, sisters Eva Vermette and Rose (Emile) Boutin, all of Hinton, Alberta, grandchildren Pamela (Bob Laidlaw) MacEachern of Ancaster, Tammy MacEachern of Thunder Bay, and Rick (Karen) MacEachern of Thunder Bay, and great grandchildren Karis and Matthew. Rev. Rémi Lessard directed the service at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Cathedral. Interment will take place at Monsignor Pierre Grenier Cemetery. Commemorative donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation.
