It is said that you are judged in life by the people you surround yourself with…. if that is true he did very well. Jack was a construction electrician and as such worked all across the country with an amazing group of men and developed lifelong friendships with most of them. A few exceptional people stand out: Bill, Jimmy, Larry, Fred. Others that weren’t in the trade also stand alone: Keith, Sam, George. So many incredible individuals impacted Jack; and you all made his life very meaningful. Jack was a big man and most who met him were intimidated at first; but once they knew him found him to be a Teddy Bear (with the exception of his girls’ boyfriends) and with a great sense of humour. Jack was a major shareholder in hotels across North America; but after a stroke and retirement preferred to spend time fishing (Arlene caught all the fish), reading, and traveling to visit the children and grandchildren. Mind you he still liked to socialize with friends at Sam’s and have a few…. or a few too many. He was a big man with a big heart: more often than not he was generous to a fault…. he will be greatly missed. He already is. As per his wishes cremation has taken place; no service will be held but all are welcome to stop by the house and have a beer on Jack. Donations to the Dialysis Unit of Temiskaming Hospital would be greatly appreciated. By the way……. What’s a Watt? Post your answer on-line at buffamleveille.com.
