Bruce SHIER

Bruce Shier of Cochrane died at Lady Minto Hospital Monday, December 10, 2007 at the age of 72 years. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Shier (McNay); his children,Wayne Shier (Tina) of Hunta: Cathy Shier (Todd Scott) of Kapaskasing and Joanne Mayer (Luc) of Cochrane, his grandchildren Chris, Erin, David, Julie, Katie, Louise, Erik and Erin as well as family members Glen Shier (Isabelle), Jean Innes, Olive Schock and Fred Shier (Evelyn). He was predeceased by his parents, Charles Shier and Bessie Burgess, brothers Harry and Gordon Shier and sisters Thelma Grant and Helen Pender. A funeral service was held in the Irvine and Irvine Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 7, 2007 with Pastor Polly Johnson officiating. Spring Internment Cochrane Civic Cemetery. Donations can be made to the House of Kin or Lady Minto Hospital (Chemo unit). Funeral director was Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home in Cochrane.
