WHALEN, Norman L. - In loving memory of Norman L. Whalen, who passed away Thursday, December 27th, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site after a courageous battle with cancer for 2 years. Beloved husband of Vickki (Fiset) Whalen for 46 years. Loving father of Norma Whalen (George), Michael Whalen (Michelle). Cherished Grandfather of William and Christale Terris. Dear son of Vic (predeceased) and Grace Whalen of Sudbury. Dear brother of Ron Whalen (wife Jacquie), Helen Proulx (husband Guy predeceased) and Diane Whalen. Norm enjoyed life to the fullest and was a real people person. He was a sales person for Rent-All, Ultramar then a Real Estate Agent since 1984. Everyone recognized him for his smile, laughter and good sense of humour, always a positive person and a hard worker. Norm enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, shopping and travelling. Norm was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was always there for his family and generously supported many worthy community causes and people. Memorial Mass in Ste. Anne des Pins, 14 Beech St., Sudbury Saturday, December 29th, 2007 at 11 a.m. Cremation with interment in the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated. Friends may gather at the church after 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Arrangements entrusted to the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME.
