Her generosity and spirit was unbounded yet seasoned by a sharp wit. Marj was born in Victoria Harbour, Ontario. She was an elementary and high school teacher in Ontario and librarian at the British Columbia Institute of Technology before her retirement. Marj was in the Royal Canadian Air Force, 1943-1945 and claims that her main wartime contribution was made at the tomato cannery in Prince Edward County while stationed at Mountainview. Before her eyesight failed, she was an avid photographer of wildflowers and children. She enjoyed her cottage on Six Mile Lake. Her avocation was her families' geneology and she was well known in archives, public libraries and cemeteries. At Marj's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place later at Vasey Union Cemetery. The family invites you to a celebration of Marj's life to be held on Sunday May 16th from 2-4 p.m. at the Penetanguishene Curling Club.
