FOLEY, Carmel Louise - It is with great sadness we announce the very unexpected passing of Carmel Louise Foley. Carmel passed away on Friday, January 11, 2008 in Halifax, NS, in her 73rd year. She was born on Howe Island, ON in 1935. She was predeceased by her parents, Wilfred John Foley and Madeline Sophia Foley (nee Kane) and her beloved brother Larry. She will always be cherished in memory by her neice Ellen Lavergne (nee Foley) and her husband Scott with whom she shared a special bond, and their children Jaimme and Adam. Carmel is also lovingly remembered by her nephew John, his wife Doh Wha and his children Joshua, Jacob and Jesi. Carmel is also remembered by her sister-in- law Frances Foley. She will be sadly missed by her best friend Alice. Carmel is predeceased by many aunts and uncles. She will be fondly remembered by many friends and colleagues. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday January 16, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive, (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive) Kingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 17, 2008 at 10:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 480 Days Rd., Kingston. Rite of committal with prayers will follow at St. Philomena's Cemetery, Howe Island. For those wishing, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. 10958588
