COOKE, Ernest (Ernie) Albert - (retired 45 year tool and die maker at Outboard Marine Corporation) - after a brief illness, peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, in his 85th year. Ernie, loving husband of 59 years to Norma (nee Cain) of Peterborough. Dear father of Ralph and his wife Sharlene of Peterborough, Murray of Peterborough, and Lynn and her husband Marco D'Ercole of Woodbridge. Loving grandfather of Kimberly and Valerie Cooke of Peterborough, and Bridgette and Marc Ezio D'Ercole of Woodbridge. Ernie was the son of the late Albert and Emily Cooke and loving brother of the late Emily Robinson and Henrietta (Bette) Warren. Friends may call at the HIGHLAND PARK VISITATION/RECEPTION CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd. (at River Rd. S.) on Friday, January 4, from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, at 11:00 a.m. at the NORTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 300 Sunset Blvd., Peterborough, with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Interment Little Lake Cemetery.
