FURNESS, Ruth Alberta - Peacefully on January 2, 2008 at Sumac Lodge, Ruth Furness (Huffmon) age 84, of Sarnia. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late Alex Furness (January 1999). Loving mother to the late Merilyn Benenati (November 2006) and her husband the late Gerry Benenati (March 2006) of Sarnia and Norma Stacey and her husband Jim of Aylmer, ON. Dearest Grandmother to Sherry Cicchini and her husband Rocco of Sarnia and Tabbatha Sterling and her husband Chris of London. Adoring Great-Grandmother to Rachel Cicchini and Jacob, Austin and Ryan Sterling. Dear sister to Mary Helen Latta and her husband Bob of Lucan, ON. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Mary Huffmon and her brother Alvin. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 62 and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary. The funeral service will be held at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday January 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-5 PM with the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 62 Ladies Auxiliary service at 2:30 PM.
