JUDD, Ruth Lillian (née Harpell) - 83, passed away peacefully in the company of all her children, on December 26, 2007. She was the dearly beloved wife of 58 years of the late D. Allan Judd, and is survived by their children, Ellen, Janet (Michael LeSarge), Brian, Margaret and Sharon (Geoffrey Dipple); grandchildren, Joseph and Benjamin Dipple, Erin, Paul, Anthony, Mary and Liza Herbert; great-grandchildren, Aya Herbert and India Frost; and her sister- in-law, Madeline Knox. Ruth Judd was born in Kingston on 30 September, 1924, the daughter of Willet and Margaret (Little) Harpell, and grew up the youngest in a loving family of eight children, all of whom sadly predeceased her. Ruth Judd graduated from Special Commercial and audited financial records for the City of Kingston before and following her marriage in 1949. Her children knew her as a person of strength, intelligence and caring and will be forever grateful for her life and love. She quietly loved her neighbour and cared for others with no boundaries in her personal and family life and in contributions to her community. We particularly remember her compiling a cookbook for the Children's Aid Society and leading support for public housing in her own neighbourhood while we were growing up. The family thanks the staff at Fairmount Home for their warm care during her final illness. Friends and family will be received at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2) on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m., with a private family interment.
