SCOTT, Margaret Grace Barlow (Sheppard) - The family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury on Saturday, December 22, 2007, at the age of 89. Born in Sudbury, daughter of Hugh and Mary Barlow (predeceased), she was the last of six brothers and four sisters. She was the loving wife of Tom Sheppard (predeceased 1965) and Jack Scott (predeceased 1990). Cherished mother of Tom (Sally), Don (Nancy), Harvey (Claire), the late Robert (Kim), and the late Harriet (John Goode). She was also predeceased by 2 lovely granddaughters, Denise Sheppard and Lorie Sheppard. She was “Nannie“ to 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, with the addition of 1 more great great grandchild and 2 great granddaughters of whom one will carry her name. Marg and Tom raised their family in Falconbridge where she was an active curler, bowler and weekly card player with “the girls“. Many fun-filled days were spent at Nelson Lake with family. She loved to dance with Tom and will be well remember for her “hula dance“. Well know for sharing her pecan pies, shortbread cookies, Christmas fruit cakes and mincemeat tarts made from her mother's old English recipes. Loved for her enthusiastic and fun-loving nature, Marg will be deeply missed by family and friends, especially Reverend Ann and her church family at the Church of the Ascension, her friends at Spruce Villa and more recently, her new friends at The Westmount Retirement Residence. Memorial Service in the Church of the Ascension 1476 Sparks St., Saturday, December 29th, 2007 at 2 pm. Interment in the Parklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Church of the Ascension Memorial Fund would be appreciated. (Friends may gather at the Church after 1:30 pm Saturday).
