KUCERA, John - age 80 of Dresden passed away Monday January 7, 2008 at Park St. Place, Dresden. He was born in Czechoslovakia son of the late Martin & Catherine Kucera. John worked as a machinist for many years at Canadian Canners, Dresden retiring in 1990. He was a member of Tecumseh-Sydenham Masonic Lodge #245 A.F. & A.M., Wellington- McNabb Chapter #46 and Mocha Shrine. His wife Mary (Sevcik) Kucera predeceased in 2001. Surviving is a daughter Carolyn & Allan Ross of Dresden, three sons: John & Mary Kucera Jr. of Fayetteville P.A. Ken & Kathy Kucera of Dresden and Robert Kucera of Dresden; six grandchildren: Christopher, Brad, Lauren, Gillian, John and Sara; sister Betty Grabec of Dresden; brother Martin & Edna Kucera Jr. of Dresden; sisters-in-law Mary Sevcik and Jenny Kopal. He is predeceased by a brother-in-law Joe Grabec. Visitors will be received at the THOMAS L. DEBURGER FUNERAL HOME, 620 Cross Street, Dresden on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Mrs. Bonnie Harvey officiating. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. The Tecumseh- Sydenham Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday at 6:45 p.m. Memorial contributions to Canadian Cancer Society may be made by cheque and left at the funeral home.
