SIMPSON, Florence Newell “Flo“ (nee Forgie) - Born in Ballymacruise, N. Ireland and a resident of Wallaceburg since 1929, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in her 89th year. Flo is the daughter of the late David & Jemima (Newell) Forgie. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred H. Simpson. Loving mother of Jim & Ruth Forgie of Wallaceburg. Dear grandmother of Bob & Sarah Forgie of Edmonton, Sean & Stephanie of Newmarket, Donald & Adair of Wallaceburg and Ruth Ann & Ryan Fay of Thunder Bay. Great grandmother of Ella, Jemma, R.J., Sam, Gracie, Hannah, Andrew, Matthew, Katie and Scott. Sister of Elaine Forgie and the late Mary & Lloyd Bishop, Nan & Roy Goodman, Ena Forgie and John (Jack) Forgie. Sister-in-law of Deanna Forgie. Known and loved for being determined and very independent, Flo had worked at Felger's Grill (Fiesta), Lloyd's Restaurant, National Pressure Cooker and Waltec Faucets. She was also proud of having formed the weight-loss group New Beginnings. Friends may call at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. David Maxwell at the funeral home on Thursday, January 10 at 1:30 p.m. The interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. If desired, remembrances to Knox Presbyterian Church or the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home 519-627- 3231.
