SLADE, Mrs. Virginia - Peacefully in her sleep at Maple City Residence, Chatham, on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008, Mrs. Virginia Slade of Chatham at the age of 89 years. Loving daughter of the late Daniel and Annie Weber. Beloved wife of the late Milton Slade (1986). Loving mother of Rosanne Shaw and her husband Don of Chatham, and Patricia Pailey and her husband Craig of Raleigh Township. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Marnie Pailey, Danyce Molengraaf, Matthew Pailey, Rachel Shaw and Allison Shaw, and her great grandchildren, Cameron and Karlee Pailey, and Joshua Molengraaf. Dear sister of Dorothy Hull of Oil Springs, and Glenn and Don Weber of Meadville, Pennsylvania. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Ronald, grandson Brent Shaw, grandson-in-law Andrew Molengraaf, sisters Kathryn Reed and Francis Hill, and brothers Paul, Billie, Beufort, and Walden Weber. Mrs. Slade was a member of Wesley United Church for many years, and retired from the Credit Bureau in 1970 after nineteen years of service. Family and friends are invited to the ALEXANDER FUNERAL HOME, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service for Mrs. Slade will be conducted in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday January 5th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ross Williams officiating. Interment Union Cemetery, Pardoville. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society and the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
