MATER, Carol Ann (nee Sider) - Went to be with her Lord and Saviour at Grandview Lodge, Dunnville, on Friday, December 14, 2007, in her 76th year, surrounded by her family. Carol is survived by her devoted husband Merle for 55 years. Loving mother of Brian (Shari), Barry (Roberta), Lynn (Kevin) Todd, Brent (Valene) and Blain (Jackie). Loving grandma of Heidi, Dustin, Shane, Tyson, Tara, Barry, Amy, J.R., Angie, Krystle, Kaleigh, Brendan, Ashley, Joceline, and sadly missed by 11 great- grandchildren. Dear sister of Lorna (Lloyd) Hogg, Leonard (Muriel) Sider, Elaine (Francis) Winger, Carlton (Mary) Sider and Twila (Herb) Watkins. Also survived by her aunt Irene Sider. Predeceased by her parents Alvin and Ethel Sider. She was a long time member of Port Colborne Brethern In Christ Church where she taught the youth Sunday School Class for many years. Carol enjoyed her winters in Florida and time spent at Elk Lake and Camp Kahquah, where she and Merle gave countless hours over the years. Her family will miss her awesome raisin cookies and home canned peaches. Also a very heartfelt thanks to the staff at Grandview Lodge for the wonderful care given these last 11 years, and to Dad for his love, constant care and devotion. Family and fiends will be received at the BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and at the Port Colborne Brethren In Christ on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Funeral service followed at 1:00 p.m. Interment Zion Cemetery, Wainfleet. In lieu of flowers, donations to Camp Kahquah or the Port Colborne BIC Church Building Fund, would be appreciated. Our loss is surely Heaven's gain, where she will be home for Christmas.
