Marie Gertrude d'Entremont (née Amirault) July 04, 1908 - March 30, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Halifax) d'ENTREMONT, Marie "Gertrude" - 96, Halifax, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Haverhill, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Ignace and Evelina (Comeau) Amirault. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, Halifax. In her earlier years she was a school teacher and after her husband, Desiré passed away, she was a ward clerk at the former Halifax Infirmary. Surviving are daughters, Evelina (Larry) Babcock, Kelowna, B.C.; Phyllis d'Entremont, Vancouver, B.C.; sons, Victor (Olive) d'Entremont, Moncton, N.B.; Paul (Jean) d'Entremont, Halifax; grandchildren, Lisa, Andrea, Neil, Marc, Colette and Michelle; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Amirault, Yarmouth. Gertrude was predeceased by her husband, Desiré. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. At Gertrude's request no visitation. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 3, in St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, 3473 Dutch Village Rd., Halifax, Rev. Francis Vog-Enga officiating. Interment will be in Stella Maris Cemetery, Meteghan, at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 4, Rev. Albeni d'Entremont officiating. Family flowers only.
