O'BYRNE, Jessie - At the Janet MacDonell Pavilion on Thursday, December 20, 2007. Jessie (Gates) O'Byrne of 433 First Street East; age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late James Edward O'Byrne. Dear mother of Florence, Maggy, Dougie, Linda O'Byrne, Therese (Leonard Buell) all of Cornwall, Beverly (Ron Laviolette) and Wilhelmina Larocque both of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Valerie O'Byrne of Dawson Creek, BC and Bernie O'Byrne of London, Ontario. Predeceased by two daughters, Mary and Lorain (late Guy Labonte) and by one son, Andrew. Dear daughter of the late Andrew Gates and the late Alma Coughlar. Predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and Eartley Gates and by eight sisters, Ethel Ezard, Greta O'Byrne, Jane Sauve, Myrtle Lajoie, Evelyn Locey, Dorthy Brown, Helen and Jean Gates. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and 10 step- grandchildren. Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) from 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Monday, December 24, 2007 for Service in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 10 a.m. followed by cremation. Rev. Randy McCooeye officiating. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of Funeral on Monday.
