Mr. Jeffrey Leatherland Funeral arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home (Londo LEATHERLAND It is with great sadness that we announce, on April 7, 2004, the passing of Jeffrey Smith Leatherland in his 72nd year. Jeff was a loving and devoted husband of 51 years to Shirley (Fickling), a wonderful and caring father to Len (Dianne) Leatherland, Shelley (Bill) Lewis and Sandy (Paul) Hunter. He was a proud grandfather to Kelly (Darryl) Candy, Mike, Carly, Katie, Jimmy, Jillian and great-grandpa to Breanna and Alyssa. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Claudine Geisin, Margaret (Glen) Gallinger, Molly (Carm) Brunskill, Ken (Joan), John (Joan), Caroline (Bob) Worrell, Ron (Margaret) and brother-in-law Bill (Phyllis) Fickling, sister-in-laws Liz Leatherland and Maxine Leatherland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jeff was predeceased by his parents James and Mary Leatherland, brother Alex and sister Sheila. Jeff was a millwright at Kellogg’s for 39 years, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and a lifetime member of Nilestown Masonic Lodge. At this time we would like to thank Dr. Wahby, Dr. Swift, the VON nurses and the wonderful nurses at London Health Sciences Centre Palliative Care that made his final days calm and peaceful. To honor Jeff’s wishes, family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Sunday April 11, 2004 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dorchester Donnybrook Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VON Palliative Care or Thames Valley Children’s Centre. Memorial Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
