THORNTON, Alfred William - Was born in England on December 17, 1910 and passed away on December 5, 2007 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 97 years. He is survived by his wife Evelyn and was predeceased by his daughter Lee Anne Stanley. A Funeral Service was held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment followed in the Earlville-Rutherford Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
