He attended and graduated from Cornell University (Ithaca, New York) on a hockey scholarship. Joe was a great lover of sports. He especially enjoyed hockey, golfing, hunting, and fishing. Joe also loved to travel, and did so. His chosen profession afforded him the opportunity to see many beautiful places. He moved to Toronto after graduating from Cornell University to pursue his career. He later transferred to New York City where he lived for a number of years, before returning home to Welland to spend time with his family. Joe was also a great lover of animals and will be sadly missed by his two Boxer's, Stanley and Stella. Joe (Joey) touched the lives of many people. He was a very kind-hearted, generous, loving, and giving man. He loved to help people and was always there with a helping hand, expecting nothing in return.
