BURTNIAK, Jean - Passed away at Hospice Niagara on Saturday December 15, 2007 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of 25 years to Nick Burtniak. Dearly loved mother of Gloria Jean DiCenzo of Virginia and Karen (Rich) Amenson of Michigan. Cherished grandmother of Carla, Laura, Sara, and Jillian and great-grandmother of Ryan, Blake, Jessica and Nicole. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Tina Hafichuk, her son Kenneth Campbell (1991), her sister Anne Jarvis (1986) and her brother John Hafichuk and his wife Reta. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hamilton. Panachyda for Mrs. Burtniak will be celebrated Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In memory of Mrs. Burtniak donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice Niagara or St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church would be appreciated by her family.
