Margaret Lillian Meldrum September 22, 1939 - April 06, 2004 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Dartmouth) MELDRUM, Margaret Lillian - 64, Dartmouth. After a complex battle with illness, Margaret passed away on April 6, 2004, in Dartmouth General Hospital ICU, with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She worked as a nurse, was a trainer for St. John Ambulance and retired from the Home of the Guardian Angel. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing a good card game, spending time with family and was an avid Royal Family follower. Friends and family were her pride and her grandson was her joy. In her spare time she volunteered for various organizations. She is survived by mother, Mayme Doucette; husband of 47 years, Alvin Meldrum; son, Brent Meldrum; daughter, Seanne (Ben) Dort; grandson, Solomon Dort; sister, Darlene (Kenneth) Roberts; nephews, Kyle and Evan Roberts; lifelong friend, Marie Helene Delaney; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, David Doucette and "Dad" Charles Doucette. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 9, both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 10, in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Caledonia Road, Dartmouth. Burial to follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Memorial mass will be held 7 p.m. Monday, April 12, in St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Family flowers only please.
