MURRAY, Herbert - January 3, 1915 - December 13, 2007 - Mr. Herbert Murray DSM passed away peacefully at the Regina Gardens Nursing Home, Hamilton in his 93rd year. Loving father of Malcolm (Linda) of Hamilton and Sylvia of Niagara Falls. Special grandfather of Lori, Lisa, Darren, Melissa and Debbie and his great grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Matt and Emily Stirling and Ann Gahan. Predeceased by his wife Eileen (Gahan), daughter Diane and sons Stephen and David. Fondly remembered by his nieces and friends. Herbert was a veteran of the Royal Navy and was personally presented a Distinguished Service Medal by HM King George VI at Buckingham Palace. Herbert was a retired Staff Sergeant from the Niagara Parks Police. He was a member of Waterdown Masonic Lodge No. 357 and Past President of the Niagara Falls Shrine Club. Cremation has already taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
