Robert HAVENS

HAVENS, Robert - Passed away at his home in Owen Sound on Sunday, December 23, 2007. He was the son of the late Gordon and Grace Havens and was raised in Port Glasgow. Bob taught school in Mitchell for 30 years, retiring to Owen Sound in 2001. Survived by his loving wife Penny (nee Blair), his daughters Suzanne and her husband William Meinen of Kirkton and Jennifer and her husband Brendan Cook of London and his grandchildren Noah, Anneka and Asher Meinen. Brother of Mary Ann and her husband Richard Haggith of London and Julie and her husband Wentworth Newman of West Lorne. Also survived by in-laws Rose and Bev Blair, brother-in-law Gerry and his wife Mary Blair and sister-in-law Cheryl Buck, all of Owen Sound. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A come and go gathering will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Mitchell on Saturday, January 5, 2008 from 2 - 4 p.m. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
