ST. JOHN, Marguerite Irene A.R.C.T. (nee Rynard) Peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, on Friday, December 14, 2007 in her 97th year. Recently residing at Bon Air Nursing Residence in Cannington. Retired music teacher of the former Ontario and York County school boards. Beloved wife of the late Donald St. John (1994). Loving mother of Gary (Helen), Dale (Carol), and Judith (Ken) MacDonald. Predeceased by daughter Lenore, brothers Ross and John and sister Madeleine. Survived by youngest brother Keith Rynard. Cherished grandmother of Larry (Linda), Kathy (Gary), Glen (Corinne), Mike (Lisa), Chris, Darryl, Cayle and Mark. Great-grandmother of Luke and Maddie. Irene's musical career included singing with the Norma Jackson Singers and Aurora United Church choir. A member of the Aurora Lawn Bowling Club where she participated in local, provincial and international events. Carrying forth her farm heritage, she was an avid horticulturalist and lover of pets, especially kittens. Donations to the Lions Club Camp Kirk, The Alzheimer Society, or Sunderland United Church would be appreciated. Visitation at the Thorne Memorial Chapel, River St. in Sunderland on Monday, December 17th from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Monday evening.
