IN MEMORIAM BERNARD HARRY GOLDSTEIN (Dec. 19, 1907-Dec. 26, 1968) The family of Ben Goldstein commemorates the 100th anniversary of his birth. He was born December 19, 1907 to immigrant parents, Tova and Jacob, on Dorchester Street, and made Montreal his home for life. He married Tena Levitt on June 20, 1937. They had three children: Sheila (Howard Cohen), Queenie (Bruce Andrus), and Jay (Janet Goldberg), 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ben Goldstein survived his half sisters, Becky Polansky and Annie Weissman, and pre-deceased his sisters, Dora Markus, Jean Bonn, and Adele Alpert, and his loving wife, Tena Goldstein. Ben was active in his synagogue; he loved poetry and Shakespeare. He was in the metals business, and was well admired by friends and associates alike. His son and grandson continue in the family business. Ben Goldstein is remembered as a loving and generous husband, father, and grandfather, and a proud and solid first generation citizen of Canada. Always in our hearts and thoughts, your loving family. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 12/19/2007
