McEWEN, John Ross Peacefully at Almonte Country Haven on Thursday, December 20, 2007 in his 93rd year. Son of the late John Alexander McEwen and Annie Maude Hawkins. Beloved husband of Verna (nee Campbell). Loving father of Gary McEwen (Jill Ford), Jim McEwen (June), Arlene Neron (Bob Grenon) and Jean Pye (Reg). Cherished grandfather of Jason, John, James and Spencer and step-grandfather of Mike, Peter, Steve and Chris. Predeceased by brothers Albert, Norman, Allan and his sister Kathleen Erwin. Friends may call at the Carleton Place Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 61 Lake Ave. West, on Friday, December 21st from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Spring interment Dewars Cemetery, Ashton.
