WRIGHT, Jean McNeece Jean McNeece (Montgomery) Wright of Marriotts Cove, N.S. passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2007 with her family by her side. Born in Sawyerville, Quebec on July 23, 1918, she was a daughter of Richard and Edith Montgomery. She attended Bishop's University and MacDonald College (McGill) graduating in 1942 with a B.Sc. in Home Economics. Jean moved to Ottawa in 1950 when her husband, Jim, accepted a position as chemist with the Federal Department of Agriculture. She enjoyed her time spent in Ottawa and cherished the friendships that were formed there. In 1961, when Dr. Wright was appointed to a new position, the family moved to Kentville, N.S. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. James Wright, sisters Irene and Frances (Ottawa) and brother Hart (North Hatley, Quebec.) Vivacious, exuding a love of life, and known for her generosity to family and friends, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She accepted her final illness with grace, courage, and humour. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Hamilton of Halifax and son, Jamie Wright (Connie) of Toronto; granddaughter Erin Wright (Tim) and great-grandchildren Leo and Isabella Ross of Dubai, UAE; grandson Tim Wright (Tiffany) and great-grandson Aidyn of London, U.K. Cremation has taken place, and in accordance with her wishes no service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 12/22/2007
