FUCHS, Ethel (nee Schaffer). Peacefully, in her seventieth year, surrounded by her loving family, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Beloved wife of Emerich (Eric). Adored mother of Frieda, Arlette, and Elisabeth. Mother-in-law of Lorne Klemensberg. Loving Bubbie of Yona and Tali. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Robert and Lynne Schaffer. Predeceased by her parents Abe and Bella Schaffer and her brother Motel. Cherished cousin of Shirley and Joanne Bercovitch. She also leaves to mourn many of her special family members and friends, including her pals at Julius Richardson and Jules Bordet Centre. The family would like to acknowledge the doctors, nurses, staff, and volunteers of the Palliative Care Unit (3rd floor) at the Mt. Sinai Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during her brief stay there. She will be remembered for her gentle smile, warmth and generosity, force of character, and her special ability to enjoy and live life to the fullest. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Friday, December 28 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Chevra Kadisha B'nai Jacob Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O.
