Jean ‘John’ Laplante 1931-2007 Jean ‘John’ Laplante, 76, de Moncton est décédé subitement à sa résidence le vendredi 21 décembre 2007. Né le 18 octobre 1931 à Montréal, QC, il était le fils de feu Sergeieus Laplante et de feu Rose Alba Roy. Il laisse dans le deuil deux filles: Diane Radevski (John) de Markham, ON et Jeannine Belliveau (Francis) d' Ottawa, ON; quatre petits-enfants: Jeff, Daniel, Aleksandar, Jordan; son amie Doris Maillet de Moncton. Il est précédé dansd la tombe par son épouse Stella (Blacquière) Laplante (1997); ainsi que ses frères et soeurs: René, Rémi, Jeannine, Murielle et Liette. La dépouille mortelle est exposée au salon funéraire Frenette, 88, rue Church à Moncton (858-1900). Les funérailles auront lieu le lundi 24 décembre à 13h en l'église St-Bernard à Moncton. L'inhumatuion se fera dans le cimetière N.-D.-du-Calvaire à Dieppe. Born October 18, 1931, in Montréal, QC, he was the son of the late Sergeieus and Rose Alba (Roy) Laplante. He was a retired Sergeant with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces and Clasp decorated for his duties with the U.N. in Cyprus, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Moncton Branch No. 6, the Dieppe Veterans Association, member and past director of the Air Force Veterans Club and Color Party, member of U.S.I., and past commissionaire at the Greater Moncton Airport. He is survived by two daughters, Diane Radevski (John) of Markham, ON, and Jeannine Belliveau (Francis) of Ottawa, ON; four grandchildren, Jeff, Daniel, Aleksandar, Jordan; and his special friend, Doris Maillet of Moncton. He was predeceased by his wife, Stella (Blacquière) Laplante (1997); also his brothers and sisters, René, Rémi, Jeannine, Murielle, and Liette.
