Dorothy M. McConnell 1918 - 2008 Dorothy M. McConnell 89, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton passed away at her residence on Monday, January 7, 2008. Born in Turtle Creek, she was the daughter of the late Forest and Nellie (Hopper) Wilson. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a member of Parkside Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Moncton Lions Senior Citizens Association, a former bowler (Fairlanes), enjoyed music, watching hockey and softball games on TV, but first and foremost, was her love for her family. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her daughter, Carolyn Tattersall (Alan), Moncton; son, Gary (Joan), Moncton; grandsons, Sheldon Hubbard (Janine), Darren Hubbard, Travis McConnell; granddaughters, Andrea Ryan (Jeff), Kim Burns (John), Sherri Leger (Mathieu); great grandchildren, Lauren, Noah, Olivia, Addison, Hannah, Alyna, Matthew, Michael and Jenny; sister, Freda Freeman, Moncton; brothers, Gerald Wilson, Moncton, Floyd Wilson (Betty), McKees Mills; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lorne McConnell (1980); great granddaughter, Grace; sister, Connie; brother, Delbert. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, January 9, 2008, 1:00 pm, Dr. Ralph Richardson officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
