TONER, GLENDON EARL - It is with great sadness, we announce the death of Glen Toner of Mispec, which occurred on Monday, January 7th, 2008. Born on November 25th, 1928, he was the son of the late Samuel and Violet (McCullough) Toner. He will be dearly missed and is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Leone (Moore) and his five children; one son, Lawrence (Bo) and (Faye) of Mispec; four daughters, Dorothy (Eric) Mowbray of Public Landing, Diane (Bob) Eastwood of Belleisle Creek, Kathy Toner of Sussex and Susan Ougler of Saint John; brother Kenneth (Leona) Toner of Mispec; sister Dot Alloway of Halifax; sisters-in-law, Audrey and Joan; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Douglas and Ronald; and sister, Marjorie (Cormier). Glen was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting. He was employed at the Canadian Coast Guard Base in Saint John for 26 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father and grampie. Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB., (646-2424). Visitations will be held on Wednesday evening, January 9th, 2008 from 7- 9 pm., with the Memorial service being held on Thursday, at 2:30 pm from the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel". Interment will follow the service to the Mispec Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the donation of the donor's choice.
