Eva Irene DOBSON

CALHOUN, EVA IRENE (DOBSON) The passing of Eva Irene (Dobson) Calhoun of Nashwaak Village, NB, wife of the late Emerson Calhoun, occurred on January 8, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 15, 1930 in Mount Eagle, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Jessie (Lewis) Dobson. Eva was a member of Devon Park Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School in the past. Eva is survived by her daughters, Sandra Calhoun (Jim Gullison) of Williamsburg, NB, Valerie Dillon (Kevin Stocks) of Mississauga, ON, Ruth Currie (Rob) of Nashwaak Village, NB; sons, Maurice Calhoun (Debbie) of Lincoln, NB, Paul Calhoun (Karen Craven) of Cardinal, ON; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sisters, Viola Lutes, Moncton, NB, Stella Lewis (Freeman) of Mount Eagle, NB, Freda Palmer (Laurie) of Taymouth, NB; brother, Kenneth Dobson (Mavis) of Taymouth, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Eva was predeceased by her sisters, Edith Munn, Infant Shirley; brothers, Paul, Roscoe, George and Infant Jimmy; great grandson, Benjamin Woodworth. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place at Devon Park Baptist Church on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 2 pm with Pastor Lawrence Meade officiating. Interment will take place in Astle Cemetery, NB at a later date.
