Mrs. Mary Johanna Witjes ( Jansen) October 31, 1929 - April 09, 2004 Witjes, Mary Johanna October 31, 1929 - April 9, 2004 Peacefully, with her eldest daughter at her side, at the Kingston General Hospital, early in the morning of Good Friday, April 9, 2004 . Her family surrounded her with love during her week long stay and celebrated her husband's 75th birthday with her April 8, 2004. Survived by John, her husband of 49 years; her children Betty McLaughlin (Tim), Mary Ann Emmons (Randy), John Jr. and Patricia Bauder (Jeff); her grandchildren Ann Marie and Chris Emmons, Mikela and Trevor Witjes; her sisters Ton Juffermans and Mientje Roelofs (Wim) ; her brother-in-law Eef Kempkes; and extended family in Holland and Canada. Predeceased by her parents Fredericus and Elisabeth Jansen, step-mother Anna (Catharina) Jansen, sister Bep Kempkes and brother-in-law Ton Juffermans. Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins, 435 Davis Drive (Waterloo Village) on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Good Thief, King Street, on Tuesday, April 13 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
