Irene Fisher May 09, 1915 - April 08, 2004 Early on the morning of April 8, 2004, Irene Fisher (formerly of Winnipeg) passed away peacefully at the Sherwood Park Care Center in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 1996, she will be sadly missed by her two sons Stanley (Irene) of Sherwood Park, Alberta and Brian (Joyce) of Tall hassee, Florida; grandchildren Charlene (Kelvin Burnett) of Acton, Ontario, Craig (Stephanie) of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Michael (Laura) of Tampa, Florida, Warren (Bridgett) of Winslow, Maine, and Alison (Michael Kirby) of Salt Lake City, Utah; and great-grandchildren Rebecca and Cole (Craig), Chante (Charlene), Abigail & Andrew (Michael), Bryanna and Jacob (Warren), and Christian (Alison). The youngest of 9, Irene is predeceased by her brothers; Albert and Delmar and her sisters; Grace, Ernie, Lovina, Gertrude, Phyllis, and Doris. Born in Teulon, Manitoba, Irene married Robert of Winnipeg and together their life adventures led them to Toronto (45 years) and then back to Winnipeg. After Robert passed away, Irene relocated to Sherwood Park, Alberta. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.(south of the Royal Canadian Mint), with Reverend Bill Oakley officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens . Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the Sherwood Park Care Centre, 2020 Brentwood Blvd. Sherwood Park, AB, T8A 0X2, or the charity of your choice.
