Gordon B. Christie Gordon B. Christie 84, of the Veterans Health Center, Moncton with his loving wife and family at his side passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday morning, December 25, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Born in Arhroath, Scotland he was the son of the late William and Christina Christie. Gordon was a retired master technician with Chrysler Canada and Veteran of the Second World War. He served overseas as a gunner with the Royal Canadian Navy (1942-1945). He enjoyed playing darts, bowling, was an avid card player especially 45's, as an outdoors person he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, walks, had a great sense of humor but first and foremost was his love and devotion to his family. Gordon will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Treva (Trites); daughters, Judy Renton (Harvey), Wheaton Settlement, Darby Welner (Dean), Moncton, Lana Godin (Zoel), Indian Mountain; sons, Dan (Chris), Indian Mountain, David (Sherry), Lutes Mountain; grandchildren, Samantha, Dan, Travis, Deveren, Kortny, Jesse and Ross. Son in law, John Ferguson, Moncton; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Bill (May 1980); daughter, Janis (Dec 2003); sister, Jessie; brothers, Jim, George and Alex. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton, Thursday 2 to 4, 7 to 9. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Friday December 28, 2007, 1:30 pm, Pastor Dale Thistle officiating. Reception following the service. Interment Stilesville Cemetery.
