LONG, ALLISON "RED" The passing of Allison "Red" Long of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Margaret (Saunders) Long, occurred on Monday, December 24, 2007 at home. Funeral Arrangements are incomplete at this time and are under the care and direction of York Funeral Home. (506) 458-9538 December 26, 2007 LONG, ALLISON RAYMOND (RED) Allison (Red) Long, husband of the late Margaret (Saunders) Long passed away suddenly on December 24, 2007. Born on June 6, 1931, in Saint John, New Brunswick. Allison was 76. Allison (Red) was a carpenter by trade having worked in the housing and commercial construction until retirement. He loved spending time with his family and friends under the apple tree on the shores of Killarney Lake. He is survived by two sons, Allison "Al" (Kathy) of Fredericton, NB and Billy of Killarney Road; one daughter, Charlotte Ryan-Long also of Killarney Road; five grandsons, Matthew Long, Chris Fortin, Cody Long, Morgan Ryan and Brady Long all of Fredericton; one granddaughter, Meghie Ryan; one chosen granddaughter, Stephanie Saunders and her mom Robin, both of Fredericton. At the request of the Long/Ryan families, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Although following cremation, the families will be receiving relatives and friends at 1649 St. Mary's Street on Saturday, December 29, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. For those who wish, remembrances made to the IWK Children's Hospital or to the Oncology Unit of the George Dumont Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
