Michael Cusimano March 03, 1992 - December 24, 2007 Michael brought happiness and smiles to all. Like his mother Loreana, he fought a courageous battle with cancer and died peacefully at home in his 16th year, on December 24, 2007, surrounded by his family and friends. Beloved son of Dr. Steven Cusimano and the late Loreana (nee Santini), loving older brother of Sienna, Eviana, Alessia and Nathaniel. He was lovingly cared for by Karen and developed a special bond of friendship with Katelyn, Stephanie and Nicole. Michael will be fondly remembered by his many friends. He was a leader both in and out of the classroom. Throughout his years at Our Lady of Peace Elementary School he made enduring friendships and excelled in all his pursuits. He graduated at the top of his class and was President of Student Council. He continued to excel at Cardinal Newman Secondary and gave of himself on the student council, basketball and volleyball teams. A talented athlete and an avid sports fan especially of the Raptors, Leafs and Bulldogs, Michael let his cheers be heard frequently. His family and friends will always have cherished memories of holidays shared together, especially those at Disney and Cleve's. Dear grandson of Salvatore and Maria Cusimano and Filippo and Corrada Santini. Loving nephew of Gus Cusimano, Lee, Anthony and Rosemarie Cusimano, RJ and Jackie Cusimano, Michael and Filomena Cusimano, Daniel and Sylvana Cusimano, Bobby and Anne Marie Johnston, Jim and Louise Graham, Marisa and Leo Cialini and Peter and Barbara Santini. Michael really loved family gatherings with his 21 cousins and will be sadly missed by them all. A special thank you to the endless, unconditional support from his loving and caring family, especially Zia Marisa, friends and all the healthcare professionals who cared for him. Visitation to take place at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) Wednesday 6-9 p.m., Thursday 2-4, 6-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4, 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Friday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, December 29th, 2007 at 10:30 a.m at St. Francis Xavier Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the "Michael Cusimano Memorial Trust Fund" c/o Bank of Montreal.
